It's been a ridiculous couple of weeks, and I didn't get any writing done. I've fiddled with a few ideas, and it's just a matter of committing fingers to keyboard. But focus has been a problem, lately, and I find my mind wandering whenever I sit down at my desk. I think I'm due for a change of scenery; maybe I'll venture to a coffee shop or library, and try to get comfortable with writing in public.

I did sign up for Smut 4 Smut, and got a lovely prompt to which I hope I can do justice. I also got my first set of prompts for GYWO Yahtzee, and am currently cooking up ideas on how to use them. And I still have to bang out a couple of fic outlines for a little request meme on Tumblr--I have no idea why I'm having so much trouble with them!

So, I have things to do. I just have to wrangle my brain into doing them. But right now, especially after last week and a stressful weekend, I just really want to sleep.

But I'm still here, still alive, and still vaguely creative, if not exactly productive. It'll come back; the confluence of inspiration and energy is sometimes fickle, but never gone for good.

Thank you! 💕 And yes, safety is the key consideration in finding a place to write, especially since the mask mandate here was rescinded last month. >:/ There's a recently-opened Starbucks near my apartment that hasn't really attracted a lot of indoor traffic yet, so I'll probably try there on a Sunday or Monday morning. If not, there are several library branches to scout out!

Oh yes, my little outburst at work, while creating problems, was also a much-needed release for me. Guys like that one seem to think they can get by by pushing people to the limits of proper polite behavior, until someone crosses it. He's pretty much backed off now, though he did try to be "friendly" for the first few days after our meeting with the director (until he got the message that I'd rather just not speak to him at all!). But that matter has finally been settled, and the stress level at work has retreated noticeably.
