Since I first played the game, I've been fascinated by this design on some of the windows in Transistor:

(Click to enlarge)It's most notably seen in Fairview, but it also appears at the Empty Set. While it is most likely just a very pretty motif, my overeager little brain can't help inventing stories for it. Perhaps it is the personification of a virtue, or of Cloudbank, itself. Or perhaps it has a spiritual connotation: I can't help noticing the plant life in the clouds, and the city inverted beneath. A personification of the Country, perhaps? Or of some sort of deity? There's no indication of what religion looks like in Cloudbank, but Wave Tennegan having been a vicar suggests that it's not entirely absent.
While I'm definitely mulling over interpretations and their implications for headcanons (and possibly future use in fics), I decided to pursue one interpretation in visual form. I present to you the WIP of "Our Lady of Cloudbank":

arrgh!!!), and add a background, but I'm pretty satisfied with the way it's turning out. Though I do not consider myself an artist, per se, I do so enjoy dabbling in it when the mood strikes. :) I finally got a small tablet to work with, and learning how to use drawing/editing software is really fun (though a bit frustrating at times). I don't know how long this will take me to finish, but I'm decently proud of the progress I've made so far. :D
