(Just squeeing over eye candy like a damn teenager; feel free to scroll past.)

I'm bi, but I'm not 50/50. I'd say that, under normal circumstances, I'm about 70/30, leaning toward men. But every now and then, the split increases dramatically, and I find myself greedily ogling every bit of man candy I can find, real and fictional.

This is one of those times.

The past week has been rough, for reasons I won't go into at the moment, and I have dealt with it by sticking my head in the sand and pretending that everything is okay. And by engaging in some good ol' eyeball therapy. I don't have control over the situation at hand, anyway, so why not distract myself from needless worry?

In case it isn't clear by now, this will be a silly, silly post. Fair warning. ;)

Let's start with some art. David Ardinaryas Lojaya draws/models beautiful people, period. I saw this tweet of his redesign of some of the FF6 characters and fell in love. The ladies look lovely, and Locke's expression is perfect, but the showstopper here is Sabin. Damn.

SABIN.

And then, and then...his mermen! Simply gorgeous. Like this stingray merman, or this Poseidon. Or this absolutely delicious merwizard.

*fans self*

For as much as I generally hate melodrama, I have a sort of nostalgic soft spot for telenovelas. My mom has watched them since I was little, and every now and again, I'll plop down on the couch and watch some with her. They are best not taken seriously; in fact, it's quite fun to joke about the story and try to predict what other terrible, horrible, world-ending drama will unfold next. We've even run modest bets on it. XD

Anyhow, over the past few years, several Spanish-language stations have begun to air Turkish dramas dubbed in Spanish. They are no less ridiculous than their Spanish-language counterparts--sometimes they're even more so--but it is kind of cool to see different locales and customs, and cute Turkish teacups and the street cats of Istanbul, and of course, different actors (and actresses!).

One of the ones my mom is currently following is called Hercai, or, as I like to call it, "Baby Shuffle." Seriously, the plot would be nonexistent if the characters hadn't been so intent on kidnapping babies, swapping them, hiding them away, and faking their deaths. Instead, we now have a cast full of clueless adults and one badass older bitch engineering a grand plan of revenge (seriously, I like her!). But this show also has two gorgeous pieces of eye candy:

Akın Akınözü as protagonist Miran

Doğan Bayraktar as the character Aslan

Also, have one more image of this second guy, suitably roughed up in an ongoing sci-fi series that has not yet been subbed or dubbed, but who needs to understand what's going on just to appreciate the looks?

Very, very nice.

And for those who also appreciate the ladies, let me present to you Judith Roddy as the smoldering Ms. De Brún in the Irish series Derry Girls:

I had to get that out of my system! If you've made it this far, you are a verifiable dear for putting up with my thirsty little ass. :) I hope you saw something you liked along the way! ;)
