Thank you so much for taking the time to create something for this challenge! In this letter, I've put together my likes and DNWs, as well as a few ideas I like for each pairing. Think of these ideas as mild suggestions and jumping-off points. I'm intrigued by all of the pairs I've requested here, so as long as you steer clear of my DNWs, I'm confident that I'll love whatever you create for them!

Fandom DNW: smut, Recursion
Red/Subject | The Boxer - My OTP across all my fandoms. I love their dynamic as it's implied in the game, and would especially love to see a story set before the events of the game, looking back on the good times they shared. However, I'm up for stories set during and post-canon as well, as long as they aren't excessively dark.
Farrah Yon-Dale/Her Lover - The game tells us that Farrah's love for her suitor inspired her skypainting, and eventually led her ignore the restrictions placed on it. Those must have been some pretty powerful feelings. Who was this person, and how did they and Farrah meet? What was their time together like, and did Farrah inspire them, as well? I have no preferences for the lover's gender.
Niola Chein & Wave Tennegan - An outspoken activist and a radio host who's not afraid to rock the boat. I imagine Niola must have been a guest on Wave's show numerous times. What did they talk about on-air? Off-air? Did they associate with each other outside of their jobs? Did they bond over their visions for the future of Cloudbank, or was that a point of disagreement for them? I'd love to see their takes on Cloudbank society, and how they compared and differed from one another's.
Red & Sybil Reisz - Sybil's obsession with Red sets the whole game into motion. How did this obsession develop? Was Red aware of it, or did she just assume it was a close friendship? How did these two meet? What was their relationship like before Sybil became obsessed? I'm equally interested fics focusing on the obsession/darker aspects of their friendship and fics exploring the lighter/friendlier parts of their relationship.
Sybil Reisz & Royce Bracket - Polar opposites who have to find a way to work together to further the Camerata's goal. What do they think of each other? How do their strengths contribute to the Camerata's mission, and do they ever acknowledge the utility of those strengths in each other (this is particularly relevant to Royce, since he probably sees Sybil's social skills as frivolous)? How do they get along in the context of the Camerata, as opposed to in an individual context. Bickering, grudging admiration, moments of cooperation--I'd like to see where these two find middle ground, and how long they can stay there.

Celes and Terra - Another dynamic built on contrast. I love Terra's warm inquisitive nature, especially when contrasted with Celes' cold efficiency. If anyone can melt Celes' icy exterior, it's Terra, and I'd love to see their interactions at any stage of the story, but particularly pre-canon or post-canon. Celes' dialog in the GBA script suggests she and Terra knew each other before the events of the game; how did they meet? What was their relationship like? As for post-canon, where do they go after the events of the game? Does Terra go back to Mobliz? Does Celes stay with her? Or does one or both of them travel the world? I'd just like to see some sweet moments between these two, no matter where or when they are. Either a platonic or romantic relationship is fine with me.
Celes Chere & Relm Arrowny & Terra Branford - I love the thought of these three ladies bonding, despite the differences in their personalities. Despite all of her toughness, Relm is still quite young; does she look up to the other two, and ask them questions? What can she learn from them, and what does she want to learn from them? Do the three of them keep in touch after the events of the game? Fluffy or serious, I'd just like to see these characters interacting with and supporting one another, during canon events and/or afterward.
Daryl/Celes - In an AU/canon divergence where Daryl doesn't die, I think she and Celes would have quite an interesting dynamic. Daryl's free-spirited personality contrasts so sharply with Celes' reticence and rigidity, but I think they'd each appreciate the other's work ethic and find common ground in solving whatever problems come their way and Getting Things Done. I'd love to see their personalities clash and eventually mesh as they come to understand and care for one another.
Daryl/Setzer - Two adventurous individuals with a competitive streak who likely never have a dull moment between them! I'm open to stories from the full range of their relationship—anything from how they met, to working on airships or visiting the opera together, to sharing intimate moments, to just enjoying each other's company. I'd really like to see their headstrong, competitive personalities shine, and definitely a bit of their mischievous/playful sides, as well.

Fandom DNW: smut
Adel & Dr. Odine - What was their relationship like? Did Adel personally choose Dr. Odine as her trusted researcher, or did Odine volunteer? Was Odine prepared to see Adel grow so strong, and did he at any time question her motives? Speaking of motives, what were Adel's beyond conquering Galbadia and maintaining an iron grip on Esthar? What affects did these two have on the events of the Sorceress War, and why was Odine so quick to sell Adel out to Laguna and company?
Dr. Kadowaki & Cid - I love Dr. Kadowaki's tough, no-nonsense personality, and she seems to be one of the few people that isn't afraid to put Cid in his place. How did she come to work for Garden? Did she know Cid before that? What does she think of Cid's breakdown, of his disappearance during the chaos in the Garden, and his handing over command to an emotionally confused teenager? Likewise, what does Cid think of her, and does he ever feel that she's overstepping her authority? Or is he glad to have someone else to foist some of his responsibilities onto?
Edea & Rinoa - I'd really like to see Rinoa consulting Edea about being a sorceress—what to expect, how to control her powers, etc. I'd like to see Edea take her under her wing and become her mentor, perhaps sharing her own experiences as a sorceress along the way. I would prefer the relationship remain platonic.
Ellone & Rinoa - I'd love to see how these two ladies get on after the events of the game. Do they discuss their powers, the nature of limitations of each? Perhaps they develop a friendship, and spend time doing fun and casual things that have nothing to do with their powers. Perhaps they take on some project together that allows them to use their abilities toward a mundane goal (tending a garden, repairing the orphanage, etc.), or perhaps they remains fairly distant, Rinoa at Balamb Garden and Ellone in Esthar, and wonder about who the other is and what she thinks of her powers.
Irvine & Quistis - A bit of an odd-couple pair who I think would get along well once they got to know each other. Quistis has no patience for Irvine's Lothario schtick, and would likely force him to actually communicate rather than hiding behind that mask. Irvine, meanwhile, with his laid-back attitude and less-than-enthusiastic regard for Garden, can cut right through Quistis' self-doubts and justifications thereof. Both of these characters hover at the fringes of the main group, and I think, given enough time, they would bond over that and help the other come into their own.
Julia/Caraway - In my headcanon, there is no Laguna-related drama in this relationship. A lovely singer simply met a dashing military officer, and they hit it off. I'm especially interested in stories about how they met and how they grew close, and stories about their lives between marriage and Rinoa's birth. I'd love to see sweet, intimate moments between them, and while I wouldn't like straight-up smut with these characters, feel free to include sexual content of the kind you might see in an R-rated movie. I just want to see these two happy together!
Nida/Selphie - This started as a silly idea I had at an unreasonable hour, but the more I think about it, the more I like it. They are quite an "opposites attract" couple, and I think it would be really fun to see Selphie get Nida to loosen up. I'd like to see them bond over something mundane, like Triple Triad or comparing piloting methods, and I'd like Selphie to realize Nida's contributions and potential. Their relationship doesn't have to be serious, and I would actually prefer it not to be. Just a pair of friends who happen to stumble into a little something more.
Raine & the Winhill florist - The florist in Winhill was very attached to Raine, and seemed quite protective (or possessive?) of her. What was their relationship? Was the florist a mother/grandmother figure to Raine, a trusted confidant, or simply a casual friend? How did the florist see this relationship? She seemed terrified of anyone taking Raine away; was she dependent on Raine for something, or did she see her as her own child/grandchild? How much of this was in the florist's mind, and how much of it was true? And how did the florist react to Raine's marriage and subsequent pregnancy?
Rinoa & Caraway - I'd love to see these two sit down and finally have a decent conversation about all the issues between them. I've always had a soft spot for Caraway, believing that he acted out of paranoia and unresolved grief, rather than malice, in the way he handled Rinoa, but Rinoa, with her massive rebellious streak and natural empathy, could not interpret this as anything but restraint. Where did Rinoa get her rebelliousness from? Does she remind Caraway of Julia? Does Rinoa have good memories of her father, and wonder where the man she knew went? I'd love to see them talk about Julia, about Rinoa being a sorceress, about her relationship with Squall and the other SeeDs, and her time in Timber. Most of all, I just want to see these two reconnect and begin to repair their relationship.
Rinoa/Quistis - A ship that has recently piqued my interest. The dynamic between these two is similar to Rinoa/Squall, with the exception that Quistis is more open to socialization and change. I'd particularly like this pairing to be set post-canon, and include anything from awkward first hugs/kisses to playful dates to quiet moments spent in each other's company. I also wouldn't mind a little canon divergence/AU in which Quistis takes up the role of Rinoa's knight (oh, to see Edea's reaction to that!). I just want to see Rinoa easing Quistis out of her shell and Quistis learning to relax a bit and find her value outside of her role in Garden.
Ultimecia & Seifer - A powerful sorceress and a desperate young man. I'd love to see the ways in which Ultimecia (as Edea, or telepathically addressing Seifer from the future) played off of Seifer's ambition and fears to mold him into the tool she needed. Is Seifer aware he is being manipulated, or does his ambition blind him? Does Ultimecia form any attachment to him beyond using him to get what she wants, and how does she finally discard him. I'd love to see how Ultimecia subtly pulled Seifer's strings, and how she convinced him to become someone even his closest friends could no longer support.
Vinzer Deling & Edea - A manipulative relationship from the start. What plans did Vinzer have for his partnership with Edea, and did he ever discuss these with her? Did Edea humor him, or outright criticize him? How did these two meet, and did they form their partnership willingly, or did Edea use a bit of magic to pull Vinzer into her thrall?
Vinzer Deling & Mayor Dobe - When Galbadia attacks FH, Dobe mentions that he and Vinzer were friends. This may be a throwaway line, or an allusion to Dobe's "love and peace" personality, but I'm intrigued to think these two had a shared past, and chose different routes to their positions of leadership. Assuming they really were friends, or at least personal acquaintances, did they ever agree on political issues, or was their relationship built on debate? Considering they came from different countries, were they separated by the first Sorceress War? How did they come to be two very different leaders, and what did each think of the other? After things have settled down, does Dobe grieve for Vinzer, or believe he dug his own grave? I just want to see a bit of drama, political and personal, between these two.
Fujin & Raijin - I like to think that Fujin and Raijin were close friends before they became involved with Seifer. Their personalities complement each other, and the way they look out for one another suggests that they may have been on their own together before going to Garden. I'd love to see what they get up to in Seifer's absence. How do they get out Esthar after they leave Seifer in the Lunatic Pandora? How do they reunite with him? Do they stay with him after the events of the game, or do they go off and try their luck at something else? I'd love to see the bond they've forged with one another, and whether they can be vulnerable around each other while putting on tough front for everyone else. They've always given me sibling vibes, whether blood-related or found family, and I'd love to see their relationship explored in that context.

Auron/Lulu - I love the idea that these two serious, taciturn guardians let their guard and inhibitions down when alone together. Feel free to make their interactions playful, serious, or even desperate (considering the end goal of their journey), but I would especially enjoy the employment of magic at some point, whether used in service of comfort/healing or more "adult" activities (for this pairing, I'm not averse . I really love this pairing, and I'll be happy with pretty much anything you write for them.
Lulu & Yuna - I love the sisterly dynamic between these two, and I'd love to see it explored further. Anything from how they met to missing scenes during canon to adjusting to the aftermath of Yuna's pilgrimage. It's clear that Lulu is committed to always being there for Yuna; it would be nice to see Yuna echo that sentiment, as well. I would prefer their relationship remain platonic.
Yuna & Rikku - Rikku's concern for Yuna is so touching, and while Yuna's intended sacrifice hangs over much of their canon interaction, I also think that Rikku's sunny and resilient personality brightened Yuna's day. I'd love to see them just being teenagers for a while, reconnecting after years of apart, and just generally being good friends. I also really like how Rikku's attitude tends to embolden Yuna in X-2, so I wouldn't mind some foreshadowing of that in post-FFX-canon.
Yuna & Kimahri - Their relationship began under somber conditions, each of them lost in their own way, and as they got to know one another, they seemed to heal. Kimahri could have left Yuna in Besaid and continued traveling (goodness knows that climate must be tough on a Ronso!), but he decided to remain by her side. What moved him to do that? Yuna's affection for and trust in Kimahri is so poignant, and hints that he may have become a surrogate family member for her before Wakka and Lulu did. What memories do they share, and does Yuna talk with Kimahri about her decisions before, during, and after the events of the game? I'd love to see bitty!Yuna and Kimahri traveling from Bevelle together, or sharing a quiet moment during the pilgrimage, or parting ways after the game, each of them leaders in their own right now.
Kimahri & Auron - I'd really like to see their initial interaction. What does Kimahri think of a dying man entrusting him, a disgraced Ronso, with such an important task? Does Kimahri recognize Auron immediately when Auron joins the party, and do the two of them ever address their past meeting? Aside from their shared pasts, I'd also be happy to see their takes on the events of the story. They're both fairly stoic, but the contrast between their personalities could make for some delightful commentary.

Banished Woman & Swamp Witch - From what is the woman banished (town, country, church), and what happened to cause her banishment? Is she banished directly to the swamp, or does she wander in, and how does the swamp witch initially receive her? I'd love to see a story about a friendship growing out of initial distrust, wherein either the woman eventually lives or works with the swamp witch, or the witch helps the woman clear her name/get her revenge/change the corrupt system that banished her.
Female Gunslinger/Capable Widow Who Patches Her Up After A Fight Sometimes - Vulnerability and proximity, two ingredients for crackling sexual tension. How do the gunslinger and widow know each other? Did they grow up together? Did the gunslinger come to her the first time she was wounded? Did the gunslinger make the other woman a widow (perhaps her husband was no good)? Do they talk much during their interactions, or does the gunslinger just let the widow do her job? Do they admit their attraction to one another, and do they act on it? How does the widow feel each time the gunslinger leaves, never knowing if they'll meet again? I'm open to either the tension between them being resolved or remaining unresolved, whichever you feel fits their story better.
Female Librarian and Frequent patron - I'm open to either a platonic or romantic/sexual relationship between these two. How does their relationship begin? Does the patron ask for a recommendation, or does the librarian notice them coming in far more frequently than others? Do they bond over the types of books the patron checks out? Perhaps they encourage one another to branch out and read subjects they'd previously avoided. No matter what kind of relationship you choose to make this, I'm happy to see two people come together over a shared passion for books.
Lonely Widow/Younger Man Looking to Scam Lonely Widows - I'd really love to see this pairing take a twist, in which the widow knows/finds out that the younger man is out to scam her and takes appropriate action (to what degree, I'll leave up to you). I just want to see an older woman with confidence, intelligence and drive, who might be taken in by the younger man at first, but not for long. Once she finds out what he's up to, how does she catch him in it? Does she lay subtle traps, verbal or otherwise? Does she turn him into the authorities, or does she exact her own kind of revenge on him? I definitely wouldn't mind seeing the stakes continue to rise in this, as long as the man gets his just desserts in the end.
Modern Witch Running a Bakery/Scientist Who Doesn't Believe in Magic or Love - What makes the witch's baked goods so special? Do they taste extraordinary, or maybe they're infused with mood-boosting magic? Whatever it is, it captures the scientist's attention, and they must find out exactly how the witch does what she does. But how do you convince a skeptic? And how does a skeptic convince themselves that their desire to talk with the witch is pure intellectual curiosity, and nothing more, definitely not love?
Sassy Mermaid/Female Pirate Captain Who's Convinced the Mermaid is Hiding Treasure - What makes the pirate believe the mermaid is hiding treasure to begin with? Does the mermaid tease her about it? To what lengths will the pirate go to find out? And what is the treasure? Is it objectively valuable, or of sentimental value to the mermaid? Or perhaps there is no treasure at all, and the mermaid is simply using the promise of treasure to get close to the pirate. Once they do establish a relationship, does the pirate ever find the treasure, or do they continue their game, now interspersed with moments of personal connection?

Fluffy or serious, I'd just like to see these characters interacting with and supporting one another, during canon events and/or afterward.
Daryl/Celes - In an AU/canon divergence where Daryl doesn't die, I think she and Celes would have quite an interesting dynamic. Daryl's free-spirited personality contrasts so sharply with Celes' reticence and rigidity, but I think they'd each appreciate the other's work ethic and find common ground in solving whatever problems come their way and Getting Things Done. I'd love to see their personalities clash and eventually mesh as they come to understand and care for one another.
Daryl/Setzer - Two adventurous individuals with a competitive streak who likely never have a dull moment between them! I'm open to stories from the full range of their relationship—anything from how they met, to working on airships or visiting the opera together, to sharing intimate moments, to just enjoying each other's company. I'd really like to see their headstrong, competitive personalities shine, and definitely a bit of their mischievous/playful sides, as well.

Fandom DNW: smut
Adel & Dr. Odine - What was their relationship like? Did Adel personally choose Dr. Odine as her trusted researcher, or did Odine volunteer? Was Odine prepared to see Adel grow so strong, and did he at any time question her motives? Speaking of motives, what were Adel's beyond conquering Galbadia and maintaining an iron grip on Esthar? What affects did these two have on the events of the Sorceress War, and why was Odine so quick to sell Adel out to Laguna and company?
Dr. Kadowaki & Cid - I love Dr. Kadowaki's tough, no-nonsense personality, and she seems to be one of the few people that isn't afraid to put Cid in his place. How did she come to work for Garden? Did she know Cid before that? What does she think of Cid's breakdown, of his disappearance during the chaos in the Garden, and his handing over command to an emotionally confused teenager? Likewise, what does Cid think of her, and does he ever feel that she's overstepping her authority? Or is he glad to have someone else to foist some of his responsibilities onto?
Edea & Rinoa - I'd really like to see Rinoa consulting Edea about being a sorceress—what to expect, how to control her powers, etc. I'd like to see Edea take her under her wing and become her mentor, perhaps sharing her own experiences as a sorceress along the way. I would prefer the relationship remain platonic.
Ellone & Rinoa - I'd love to see how these two ladies get on after the events of the game. Do they discuss their powers, the nature of limitations of each? Perhaps they develop a friendship, and spend time doing fun and casual things that have nothing to do with their powers. Perhaps they take on some project together that allows them to use their abilities toward a mundane goal (tending a garden, repairing the orphanage, etc.), or perhaps they remains fairly distant, Rinoa at Balamb Garden and Ellone in Esthar, and wonder about who the other is and what she thinks of her powers.
Irvine & Quistis - A bit of an odd-couple pair who I think would get along well once they got to know each other. Quistis has no patience for Irvine's Lothario schtick, and would likely force him to actually communicate rather than hiding behind that mask. Irvine, meanwhile, with his laid-back attitude and less-than-enthusiastic regard for Garden, can cut right through Quistis' self-doubts and justifications thereof. Both of these characters hover at the fringes of the main group, and I think, given enough time, they would bond over that and help the other come into their own.
Julia/Caraway - In my headcanon, there is no Laguna-related drama in this relationship. A lovely singer simply met a dashing military officer, and they hit it off. I'm especially interested in stories about how they met and how they grew close, and stories about their lives between marriage and Rinoa's birth. I'd love to see sweet, intimate moments between them, and while I wouldn't like straight-up smut with these characters, feel free to include sexual content of the kind you might see in an R-rated movie. I just want to see these two happy together!
Nida/Selphie - This started as a silly idea I had at an unreasonable hour, but the more I think about it, the more I like it. They are quite an "opposites attract" couple, and I think it would be really fun to see Selphie get Nida to loosen up. I'd like to see them bond over something mundane, like Triple Triad or comparing piloting methods, and I'd like Selphie to realize Nida's contributions and potential. Their relationship doesn't have to be serious, and I would actually prefer it not to be. Just a pair of friends who happen to stumble into a little something more.
Raine & the Winhill florist - The florist in Winhill was very attached to Raine, and seemed quite protective (or possessive?) of her. What was their relationship? Was the florist a mother/grandmother figure to Raine, a trusted confidant, or simply a casual friend? How did the florist see this relationship? She seemed terrified of anyone taking Raine away; was she dependent on Raine for something, or did she see her as her own child/grandchild? How much of this was in the florist's mind, and how much of it was true? And how did the florist react to Raine's marriage and subsequent pregnancy?
Rinoa & Caraway - I'd love to see these two sit down and finally have a decent conversation about all the issues between them. I've always had a soft spot for Caraway, believing that he acted out of paranoia and unresolved grief, rather than malice, in the way he handled Rinoa, but Rinoa, with her massive rebellious streak and natural empathy, could not interpret this as anything but restraint. Where did Rinoa get her rebelliousness from? Does she remind Caraway of Julia? Does Rinoa have good memories of her father, and wonder where the man she knew went? I'd love to see them talk about Julia, about Rinoa being a sorceress, about her relationship with Squall and the other SeeDs, and her time in Timber. Most of all, I just want to see these two reconnect and begin to repair their relationship.
Rinoa/Quistis - A ship that has recently piqued my interest. The dynamic between these two is similar to Rinoa/Squall, with the exception that Quistis is more open to socialization and change. I'd particularly like this pairing to be set post-canon, and include anything from awkward first hugs/kisses to playful dates to quiet moments spent in each other's company. I also wouldn't mind a little canon divergence/AU in which Quistis takes up the role of Rinoa's knight (oh, to see Edea's reaction to that!). I just want to see Rinoa easing Quistis out of her shell and Quistis learning to relax a bit and find her value outside of her role in Garden.
Ultimecia & Seifer - A powerful sorceress and a desperate young man. I'd love to see the ways in which Ultimecia (as Edea, or telepathically addressing Seifer from the future) played off of Seifer's ambition and fears to mold him into the tool she needed. Is Seifer aware he is being manipulated, or does his ambition blind him? Does Ultimecia form any attachment to him beyond using him to get what she wants, and how does she finally discard him. I'd love to see how Ultimecia subtly pulled Seifer's strings, and how she convinced him to become someone even his closest friends could no longer support.
Vinzer Deling & Edea - A manipulative relationship from the start. What plans did Vinzer have for his partnership with Edea, and did he ever discuss these with her? Did Edea humor him, or outright criticize him? How did these two meet, and did they form their partnership willingly, or did Edea use a bit of magic to pull Vinzer into her thrall?
Vinzer Deling & Mayor Dobe - When Galbadia attacks FH, Dobe mentions that he and Vinzer were friends. This may be a throwaway line, or an allusion to Dobe's "love and peace" personality, but I'm intrigued to think these two had a shared past, and chose different routes to their positions of leadership. Assuming they really were friends, or at least personal acquaintances, did they ever agree on political issues, or was their relationship built on debate? Considering they came from different countries, were they separated by the first Sorceress War? How did they come to be two very different leaders, and what did each think of the other? After things have settled down, does Dobe grieve for Vinzer, or believe he dug his own grave? I just want to see a bit of drama, political and personal, between these two.
Fujin & Raijin - I like to think that Fujin and Raijin were close friends before they became involved with Seifer. Their personalities complement each other, and the way they look out for one another suggests that they may have been on their own together before going to Garden. I'd love to see what they get up to in Seifer's absence. How do they get out Esthar after they leave Seifer in the Lunatic Pandora? How do they reunite with him? Do they stay with him after the events of the game, or do they go off and try their luck at something else? I'd love to see the bond they've forged with one another, and whether they can be vulnerable around each other while putting on tough front for everyone else. They've always given me sibling vibes, whether blood-related or found family, and I'd love to see their relationship explored in that context.

Final Fantasy X
Auron/Lulu - I love the idea that these two serious, taciturn guardians let their guard and inhibitions down when alone together. Feel free to make their interactions playful, serious, or even desperate (considering the end goal of their journey), but I would especially enjoy the employment of magic at some point, whether used in service of comfort/healing or more "adult" activities (for this pairing, I'm not averse . I really love this pairing, and I'll be happy with pretty much anything you write for them.
Lulu & Yuna - I love the sisterly dynamic between these two, and I'd love to see it explored further. Anything from how they met to missing scenes during canon to adjusting to the aftermath of Yuna's pilgrimage. It's clear that Lulu is committed to always being there for Yuna; it would be nice to see Yuna echo that sentiment, as well. I would prefer their relationship remain platonic.
Yuna & Rikku - Rikku's concern for Yuna is so touching, and while Yuna's intended sacrifice hangs over much of their canon interaction, I also think that Rikku's sunny and resilient personality brightened Yuna's day. I'd love to see them just being teenagers for a while, reconnecting after years of apart, and just generally being good friends. I also really like how Rikku's attitude tends to embolden Yuna in X-2, so I wouldn't mind some foreshadowing of that in post-FFX-canon.
Yuna & Kimahri - Their relationship began under somber conditions, each of them lost in their own way, and as they got to know one another, they seemed to heal. Kimahri could have left Yuna in Besaid and continued traveling (goodness knows that climate must be tough on a Ronso!), but he decided to remain by her side. What moved him to do that? Yuna's affection for and trust in Kimahri is so poignant, and hints that he may have become a surrogate family member for her before Wakka and Lulu did. What memories do they share, and does Yuna talk with Kimahri about her decisions before, during, and after the events of the game? I'd love to see bitty!Yuna and Kimahri traveling from Bevelle together, or sharing a quiet moment during the pilgrimage, or parting ways after the game, each of them leaders in their own right now.
Kimahri & Auron - I'd really like to see their initial interaction. What does Kimahri think of a dying man entrusting him, a disgraced Ronso, with such an important task? Does Kimahri recognize Auron immediately when Auron joins the party, and do the two of them ever address their past meeting? Aside from their shared pasts, I'd also be happy to see their takes on the events of the story. They're both fairly stoic, but the contrast between their personalities could make for some delightful commentary.

Banished Woman & Swamp Witch - From what is the woman banished (town, country, church), and what happened to cause her banishment? Is she banished directly to the swamp, or does she wander in, and how does the swamp witch initially receive her? I'd love to see a story about a friendship growing out of initial distrust, wherein either the woman eventually lives or works with the swamp witch, or the witch helps the woman clear her name/get her revenge/change the corrupt system that banished her.
Female Gunslinger/Capable Widow Who Patches Her Up After A Fight Sometimes - Vulnerability and proximity, two ingredients for crackling sexual tension. How do the gunslinger and widow know each other? Did they grow up together? Did the gunslinger come to her the first time she was wounded? Did the gunslinger make the other woman a widow (perhaps her husband was no good)? Do they talk much during their interactions, or does the gunslinger just let the widow do her job? Do they admit their attraction to one another, and do they act on it? How does the widow feel each time the gunslinger leaves, never knowing if they'll meet again? I'm open to either the tension between them being resolved or remaining unresolved, whichever you feel fits their story better.
Female Librarian and Frequent patron - I'm open to either a platonic or romantic/sexual relationship between these two. How does their relationship begin? Does the patron ask for a recommendation, or does the librarian notice them coming in far more frequently than others? Do they bond over the types of books the patron checks out? Perhaps they encourage one another to branch out and read subjects they'd previously avoided. No matter what kind of relationship you choose to make this, I'm happy to see two people come together over a shared passion for books.
Lonely Widow/Younger Man Looking to Scam Lonely Widows - I'd really love to see this pairing take a twist, in which the widow knows/finds out that the younger man is out to scam her and takes appropriate action (to what degree, I'll leave up to you). I just want to see an older woman with confidence, intelligence and drive, who might be taken in by the younger man at first, but not for long. Once she finds out what he's up to, how does she catch him in it? Does she lay subtle traps, verbal or otherwise? Does she turn him into the authorities, or does she exact her own kind of revenge on him? I definitely wouldn't mind seeing the stakes continue to rise in this, as long as the man gets his just desserts in the end.
Modern Witch Running a Bakery/Scientist Who Doesn't Believe in Magic or Love - What makes the witch's baked goods so special? Do they taste extraordinary, or maybe they're infused with mood-boosting magic? Whatever it is, it captures the scientist's attention, and they must find out exactly how the witch does what she does. But how do you convince a skeptic? And how does a skeptic convince themselves that their desire to talk with the witch is pure intellectual curiosity, and nothing more, definitely not love?
Sassy Mermaid/Female Pirate Captain Who's Convinced the Mermaid is Hiding Treasure - What makes the pirate believe the mermaid is hiding treasure to begin with? Does the mermaid tease her about it? To what lengths will the pirate go to find out? And what is the treasure? Is it objectively valuable, or of sentimental value to the mermaid? Or perhaps there is no treasure at all, and the mermaid is simply using the promise of treasure to get close to the pirate. Once they do establish a relationship, does the pirate ever find the treasure, or do they continue their game, now interspersed with moments of personal connection?
