Weekly Writing Whatever

deemoyzaYikes, I didn't get any writing done in the past week. I did, however, do some plotting. I'm really excited about the fic I'm working on, but I realized I was pulling it too far away from its central premise to introduce a few semi-original characters who only ultimately exist in support roles in the story. Maybe I'll write their story, someday, but this is not that fic.
I got my Chocolate Box assignment, and of course I ended up with the one offer I wasn't 100% confident about. XD I included it because I want to expand my fanfic horizons, but I'm going to have to revisit the canon in the coming weeks to refresh my memory and get the characters' voices down. As apprehensive as I am, this is the spirit of these challenges for me, to continue branching out and engaging with fandom communities via stories. And who knows? Once I get back into it, I might get even more ideas for fics beyond the prompts in the request!
Unfortunately, I can't attribute "thinking about writing" to my GYWO goal, but here's hoping this coming week will yield more concrete results! :)
