Weekly Writing Update

Well, I've started on my Yuletide fic, so that's progress. It's not a long story, nor a complicated one. The complicated part is lassoing my brain and forcing it to focus on creating words. More specifically, words for this fic, in particular, because my brain is all too happy to wander off to other WIPs and prompts and unleash its words there.

Sigh.

In other semi-writing "news," I'm slowly moving some original fiction over here from Tumblr, just to keep things more or less consistent between both platforms. Please bear with me and the onslaught of old words.

I've also added masterlists for both fanfic and original works to my intro post just to have everything accessible in one place. Organizing!

Look at all the useless busywork I can find while procrastinating!

I really had considered defaulting on my Yuletide assignment last weekend, but my pride wouldn't let me. Also, someone has already left me a gift, so now I am driven to finish my fic by both pride and guilt. An interesting combination; it should yield some results.

Anyway, total words written this week: 1,694.

Best of luck with Yuletide! There's definitely no shame in defaulting, especially if life is hectic, but I think I'd also feel guilty if someone had already left me a gift D: I'll be flailing pompoms for you!

Thanks for the encouragement! :D I've spent the past two days jotting down unrelated ideas and half-baked ficlets to try to clear my mind to work on my Yuletide fic. I hope think it will work.

But yeah, that early gift is really serving as a motivator to see this challenge through. Planning the fic has been fun, it's just about getting everything into something resembling coherence, now. Thanks again for the support! :)
