Sharks in My Pocket

My Animal Crossing island finally hit three stars! It took another villager (welcome, Fauna!), and some surreptitiously-placed fencing, but I did it. And what did I do with my newly-acquired Island Developer ability? I straightened one riverbank to put in another bridge. That's it, so far. I really like the wide-open feel of my island right now, so I'm holding off on making any drastic changes at the moment.
Also, summer fishing is amazing! Night owl that I am, I stayed up past midnight on Sunday, and, not half an hour into June, reeled in a whale shark. That was definitely a surprise. Now, my little villager is running along the beach for good chunks of the day, casting her line and stuffing sharks into her pocket. XD

First of all, big news: I finally got Sable to open up! She is the sweetest little hedgehog ever, and, after getting more and more backstory from her, I really admire her quiet strength. I also love how she and Mable reminisce about their family and their former home.

I gave Audie a hat, and she immediately put it on, then plopped down on the floor to read a bodybuilding magazine. XD

I love how curious my villagers are. I caught Gladys studying her roses with a magnifying glass ...

... and Olaf transfixed by the pond exhibit in the museum.

I've noticed something cool about the fountain you can build. At the top of every hour ...

... it puts on a little show!
(Not quite the Bellagio, but impressive, nonetheless. ;D)

Audie felt a "presence" on the island. :O

It was ghosts. Or, rather, a ghost. Hi, Wisp! :)

Fauna's here, and soaking up the lazy island vibes! She's so cute!

And finally, the ever-expressive Mira! I wonder what she saw in her own home to cause that expression in the lower-right shot?
I've also met Reese and Cyrus and done their photo shoots. They are just precious; I swear, Reese must be made out of cotton candy! I'm still working on villagers' yards, and accumulating a lot of super-cute but highly impractical outfits from the Able Sisters. Since this post is getting pretty long already, I'll save my yard and "fashion" shots for another time.
I'll end with a cozy image -- tea and toast on a drizzly day. :)

Date: 2020-06-04 09:38 pm (UTC)I have gotten so ridiculously attached to my villagers. Mira was one of my starters, and she's been a constant source of entertainment from day one. The two pictures on the top are from when I caught her napping beneath a tree. It's almost like she sensed me focusing the camera on her, and woke up just before I took the picture. As for Fauna, I met her on my first mystery island after setting up the plot for a new house. I had planned to do a bit more searching for a new resident, but she was such a sweetheart, I invited her over right away. :)
I think I got my little tea cup as one of the balloon presents. Other than that, I only have large mugs. The toaster appeared in Nook's Cranny, and yes, it does toast a little flower design on the bread. ❤ (I saw a blue one in someone else's screenshots that toasted a little fish shape!) I love these little details! :D
