Wednesday Writing Update

deemoyzaA better week. Finally finished a draft of Chapter 4 of "Until I Burn Away." I agonized over how to semi-logically explain one of the most mysterious (and glossed-over) phenomena in the game, and it resulted in an info-dump chapter with a Deus-ex-OC, but at least the story's moving forward again.
In original fiction, my most recent Short Story Saturday focused on Reginald, originally introduced in "Hook and Net and Twenty Men", and told of how he ended up in his most unfortunate current condition. I'm really enjoying the world I've built with these characters, and I'm eventually going to have to get around to Marie's story. I'm also going to have to give that family a surname at some point; I feel it'll make them seem more cohesive, as a unit.

- Total words written: 5,018
- Original Fiction: 2,926 (for "Hunter")
- Fanfiction: 2,092 (for "Until I Burn Away")
- Percentage breakdown: 58.3% Original Fiction, 41.7% Fanfiction
Look at that ratio! Finally, more original words than fanfic words! This is ascribable, of course, in large part to the mystery of the Lunatic Pandora; still, I'd like to achieve ratios like this on a more consistent basis, and without the frustration of trying to explain away video game phenomena. XD
