Weekly Writing Update

deemoyzaDespite what my recent online activity might suggest, I haven't written very much at all in the past week. Almost every one of the stories/chapters I've bombarded poor strangers with this week were written earlier, and just edited and cleaned up for posting (and I have one more Tumblr oldie on deck).
However! That has left me with an interesting weekly total. >:) Yes, I'm that juvenile.
My only new writing this week was for "Break", a short Transistor one-shot. It's a bit on the angsty side, which is not generally in my wheelhouse, but I'm pretty satisfied with the end result. It makes sense to me that Red had to break down at some point during her ordeal, and it also makes sense that she might not want Blue to see her do so, given that both of them are running only on scraps of hope at that point.
As for the humming ... a Tumblr post listed a whole bunch of unused lines from the game, one of which included Blue humming "We All Become" -- a clip that was apparently numbered to correspond with his dialogue from the break room scene. So, new headcanon! :D
That's a lot of words about such a short story! Anyway, on to the stats.

Not great. At all. I really need to get writing. I've only got one more chapter of "Walk in Shadow" drafted, so I'll have to get back to that. And, as of this past check-in, I'm now roughly 9k words off my GYWO pace. XP Hoping life will settle down a bit and give me some more time/peace and quiet in which to comfortably work. If not ... looks like I'll just have to push through!
