I remember seeing this challenge in the Snowflake Challenge comments, but I can't seem to find it at the moment. I wanted to complete it back then, but I didn't have time to skim through my pictures for one I really enjoyed.

Anyway, the challenge was to post a picture of the outdoors that I took. It didn't say it had to be recent, so have one from a few winters ago that I really like:








Because lakes in the desert, no matter how small, are special. :)

This is STUNNING 😍 like I just wanna set up a tent and camp there for a weekend. I'm also forever in awe of mountains like that. My California-native boyfriend says the one thing he misses the most since he moved to New England is the mountains. Which like... we have mountains out here, but we don't have Mountains™ 💕 so gorgeous! Thank you for sharing.

I grew up in southwestern Arizona, where the nearest mountain range is relatively small (I think it peaks around 3000 ft), so mountains like this are fairly new to me, as well.

Apart from their aesthetic, I'm also endlessly amused that these mountains justify owning ski equipment in the desert. XD
