Weekly Writing Update
Nov. 18th, 2020 12:45 pmJust a drabble this week. Still better than nothing.
On the Yuletide front, I've outlined and plotted my story, and even blocked out a few scenes, but I need to get around to drafting it, pronto. I'm hoping to have a draft done by Thanksgiving, so I can use the extended weekend to edit and refine the fic. Fingers crossed!
This week, I also gave in to an irrational desire to revise and restructure "Curious as a Cat," well over a year after I finished it. It's still not great, but I edited out the more embarrassing bits, toned down Selphie and Rinoa (they needed it!), tweaked a few conversations, and split up chapters that were too long or busy. While this worked very well on AO3, due to the backdating feature, unfortunately, FFN sent out a few new chapter alerts, and I had to include a note explaining the situation. Oh, well. As awkward as it still is in some places, I am happier with it than I was before.
Off to work on my Yuletide fic, then!
Total words written this week: 100 (for "Butterflies")
