In the past year or two, I've written some things that I'm ridiculously proud of, whether or not they appeal to anyone besides myself.

In fanfiction:

Curious as a Cat [AO3] – My first completed multi-chapter fic! I really loved getting into the head of a character I'd never written (or even thought much about) before this story, and I loved being able to give her a backstory and – most importantly, for me – a sense of a future. I also enjoyed doing a little bit of worldbuilding and creating OCs, and I even feel pretty good about how the main relationship turned out (even if it is the dreaded canon character/OC combo).

Special Order [AO3] – My first AU! Focusing on the same character as the story above, this time as the owner of a bakery facing hard times due to the opening of a megaresort nearby. This was so much fun to write, and allowed me to use what I knew of the characters' personalities in new situations.

Humphrey [AO3] – An idea that I had bouncing around my brain for some time, I was always frightened I would mess it up. But I took a chance and wrote it, and I'm really proud of how it turned out (even if I still don't know how to write children!).

In original work:

I don't write much poetry, but I'm proud of the two poems I currently have posted. I especially enjoyed making the graphic for the second one (though the man looks nothing like I imagined; he never could, though, because my mental image was way too specific XD).

As for short stories, I liked the way these turned out:
- Hook and Net and Twenty Men
- The Archivist
- The Eulogist
- Unmentionables (Drabble)
- Nymph (Drabble)

A pretty long list for a pretty big ego.
