My favorite fandom spaces, at the moment, are AO3 and FFN. I have had some of my most interesting discussions and invigorating fan interactions in the comment threads/ PMs there. I love to talk about my writing process and inspirations, and hear about others', as well, and the headcanons and narrative ideas tossed around in these conversations have turned into some fun fics, both to write and to read. :)

Ao3 is great, though I'm happily surprised to hear that FFN is still good for that kind of thing. Thank you for the reminder!

AO3 is awesome ♥ I never really got into FFN though, I'm glad you enjoy it :)

It still amazes me that FFN is still kicking! I find it interesting that some fandoms (usually older and more established ones) are way more active on FFN instead of AO3. And then most newer fandoms are just nonexistent on FFN.

I love both reading about the writing process of others along with blabbing about my own :D very much looking forward to more posts about that from you!

*sigh* Isn't it great to have all your writing, reading and shop-talk needs taken care of in one place?

Okay ...

I talk about writing fairly often in my blog, and I post a lot of my work their, fanfic and original. I have a monthly Poetry Fishbowl; next up will be January 7 with a theme of "Short Forms" so the actual subject is anything goes. If you look at the comments you'll see that my readers sometimes get into looooong discussions, which is a lot of fun.

I have several series spawned by discussions. Look for A Conflagration of Dragons and Kande's Quest on the Serial Poetry page. I just started a new one with "A Good Imagination and a Pile of Junk" after discussion "why are there no wizard armies?" with a friend. Love Is For Children (Avengers) is also prone to deep discussions.

So if you enjoy talking about writing/reading, I invited you to drop by my blog and see if you like it.
